We are back at it and only one month out for our third STEP Wedding Academy!
What is a Wedding Academy you ask? STEP has designed the first-of-its-kind educational opportunity for couples seeking advice on how to properly plan for their special wedding day. STEP pairs local industry experts who are trusted by their peers in the local industry and have been pre-vetted by our board of directors with couples who are looking to learn about planning their special day without being blind to the process.

These are all questions that every couple entertains throughout their wedding planning process. We are here to bridge the gap between not knowing and becoming well-informed.
South Texas Event Professionals was created by local, home-grown wedding and special event industry leaders who saw a need to give wedding couples an affordable way to acquire the needed information to plan their special day. For most, this is the first time planning an event on this scale with so much at stake financially. More often than not, the engaged couple lacks proper wedding planning knowledge, leading to frustrations, uninformed decisions and unnecessary expenditures.
Sadly, Pinterest ™ is not a teacher!
The Wedding Academy is a forum of 12 event professionals, one from each vendor category necessary to host such an event. Engaged couples are encouraged to ask questions and receive information and tips on how to better plan the day. They are advised what things to be aware of and what they should avoid. This is done with no strings attached. This is meant to be time where the attending engaged couples feel comfortable expressing their concerns and other attending engaged couples can also share in the information and advice.
The academy will include a peek at Witte’s event offerings, a few cocktails, hors d’oeuvres to sample, classroom time, an informational pamphlet covering the afternoon’s discussion, an open house, and a chance at winning one of over 12 products and/or services applicable to their wedding planning.
